Self Catering Terms
Booking
A booking is accepted when you receive written confirmation from us. Please ensure the details are correct and advise us immediately if there are any errors.
If you have booked directly via our website or via www.visitpeakdistrict.com you will receive an e-mail confirming your booking.
Payment
To secure your booking we require a deposit of £100 with the balance payable 30 days before the start of your holiday. If booking within six weeks of arrival the whole cost is payable on booking.
Cancellation
In the event of cancellation deposits are normally non-refundable. If you have to cancel less than six weeks prior to your holiday we will endeavor to re-let the cottage, but should we be unable to do so we may charge you the full rental. We strongly recommend that you take out a cancellation insurance policy against this eventuality.
Arrival
Your cottage will be available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival.
Departure
Please vacate the cottage by 10.am on the day of departure to allow us time to make it ready for the next guests.
Number of Guests
The number of guests occupying the cottage must not exceed the maximum occupancy stated for that cottage. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the party if this condition is not observed.
Damages and Breakages
We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to guests’ personal effects or property whilst staying at Markeygate Cottages.
We appreciate that even on holiday accidents do happen and we would request that any breakages or damage in the cottages are advised to us so that remedial action can be taken.
We reserve the right of reasonable access to the cottages at all times but where possible we would advise you in advance if access is required.
Your Holiday
Whether a planned holiday or a last minute short break we want you to enjoy your stay with us. If there is any aspect that you are not happy with please come and talk to us.
